Καυστικός was written for the high-school Osawa SOTA Wind Ensemble. Its sharp rhythmical motives and obsessive ostinato rhythms in percussion paint the scene of burning sarcastic commentary. Highly chromatic pitch content, brass glissandi, close imitation and extreme ranges musically represent perhaps some sort of nattering and piercing comments.
